Almost 40 years after George Lucas first released the Star Wars epidemic into audiences worldwide, the original crew teamed up yet again for the most anticipated film of the year – “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, and it was indeed a star-studded event. No pun intended.

The red carpet during its world premiere looked as if the shooting of the latest installment never stopped.

Aside from all the inter-galactic franchise stars, old and new, we saw “real” Stormtroopers and the beloved robots, C-3P0 and R2-D2, while the force was indeed strong with the 71-year-old movie legend Harrison Ford, who was accompanied by co-stars and legends themselves, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

Carrie, who again portrays Princess Leia to the excitement of millions of fans, looked dashing in her mesmerizing blue evening gown, however many true fans did notice the lack of the signature bun hairstyle.

New forces joined them as well, as Lupita N’yongo, Gwendoline Christie and Daisy Ridley also stepped onto the famous red rug. The Oscar-winning actress Lupita looked particularly beautiful in her long silver dress, while Daisy was also dazzling in her white and black combination.

The army of non-franchise celebrities also turned out. The newlyweds Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello were there looking as stunning as always, while A-listers Matthew McConaughey, Elizabeth Banks and Rob Lowe also made their way through.

It was a night to remember, that’s for sure.
