The Hollywood curse has hit another long-lasting couple. After 18 years of marriage Melanie Griffith has filed for divorce from Antonio Banderas.

It took 18 long years for the actress to realize the two are not right for each other. Griffith cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution of her marriage with the 53-year-old Spanish actor.

Melanie, 56, is asking for child support and sole physical and joint legal custody of the couple’s daughter, Stella, who turns 18 in September, reports TMZ.

Dividing up their assets might be a pain the neck since both stars are millionaires and they have lots of real estate in the U.S. as well as Spain. However, Melanie and Antonio have unfortunately been through this before, so we guess they know the drill.

This will be the actress’ fourth divorce, but she has said “yes” only to 3 different men so far. Melanie has been married to actors Steven Bauer and Don Johnson. She married Don twice and the former couple have a daughter together, Dakota Johnson, who will star in the upcoming “50 Shades of Grey” adaptation.

Griffith and Banderas met on the set of 1995′s “Two Much” and married in May of the following year. We guess 18 years of marriage to the Spaniard were indeed “two much” for Melanie.
