Mehcad Brooks Just Landed A Role In Supergirl

January 29, 2015

Finally, some refreshing news about a TV series! As the CBS superhero drama gets more and more attention from the public, so do we keep watch over what’s going on with “Supergirl.”

The main protagonist was found in Melissa Benoist, and now Mehcad Brooks is set to join this TV adaptation of a DC comic.

According to reports, Brooks will be filling in the role of James “Jimmy” Olsen, a photographer working at CatCo, the same place where Supergirl works.

Among many possible versions of Supergirl that exist, CBS decided to follow the story of Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El. Like Clark Kent, she escaped the destruction of Krypton, but ultimately decided to become a superhero in her 20’s.

The main head at CBS Nina Tassler had a few words to say about the show: “We’re watching an evolution with regard to the way superhero characters are portrayed. There’s humanity, they’re flawed, there’s a relatability. I think for our network, what we responded to was her humanity…the other characters on the show as well.”

If you ask us, this is just the tip of the iceberg called “Supergirl.” Don’t be surprised if you hear more news about this show, as we’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
