Jessie J On Collaboration With Ariana Grande – ‘I Think She’s Wonderful’

October 13, 2014

The British singer teamed up with Ariana Grande (alongside Nicki Minaj) for the hit track called “Bang Bang” and Jessie J admitted that, now as she had the chance to get to know the young American singer, she thinks of her as super talented and not at all a ‘diva’.

Difficult To Work With?

“I always say, judge a person when you meet them,” Jessie stated for US Weekly when asked to comment on the recent reports that Ariana is difficult to work with.

“I’ve met Ariana, and there’s a very thin line between ‘diva’ and ‘survival’. And a lot of people can’t (differentiate that) – and I’ve had that. I’ve had the diva stuff. And it’s when people can’t cope with how passionate you are, and how much you care.”

She’s super talented, she’s very young, and she’s very sure of what she wants. I think she’s wonderful. She’s great,” the singer added.

Learning From The Younger Comrade

Jessie’s interview actually followed the previous comments she made for the Huffington Post, in which she stated she saw her younger self in Ariana and that she reminded her how one needs to be consistent in order to maintain the success.

“One thing that I really observed with Ariana is how impressed I was with her age and her work ethic. She really cares. And she sings constantly. I love that because that’s how I saw myself when I was her age.”

“I admire that. So I really, really learned from her. I was like – I need to be consistent. Come on, you can do this,” Jessie admitted.
