James continues to hit the headlines with his weird affairs. After his encounter with Lindsay Lohan, when he supposedly let her in his room at a hotel, only to read her a book and demanded that Lindsay didn’t make a pass at him, Franco’s virtual fling surfaced where the 35 year old megastar was trying to hook up with a 17 year old fan on Instagram.

Lucy Clode is a young and pretty teenage tourist from Scotland who happened to run into the “Pineapple Express” star while taking a tour through New York City.

Lucy recorded a short video of the star with her phone and when Franco noticed that, he asked her to “tag him” on Instagram. She did so and apparently James did a little bit of reverse searching to find the fan and connect with her.

The exchange started via Instagram messenger and was quickly relocated to conventional text messaging. Franco was pretty much straight to the point in what he wanted out of the encounter.

He demanded to know how old she was, where she was at, and if she was dating anyone. Clode didn’t try to hide anything and responded by saying she was “17, at the Marriot, and single.”

But she wanted some kind of a proof that it was really him she was communicating with, so James supplied a picture of himself holding a picture with her name on it. Franco immediately told her not to tell her friends about their conversation, but the fan did just that. Clode took a screenshot of her chat, the picture of Franco, and put it on the internet. Within minutes the story went viral.

Once the news hit internet portals, James was quick on the reply. He sent a tweet telling parents to “Keep their daughters away” and then later apologized for his actions. Since it is clear that his fan was clearly only leading the star on, James ‘barely’ did something ‘illegal’.
