4. Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg is one of those characters with so many personas that sometimes it’s hard to keep track, but the world certainly took notice when in 2009 it was revealed that Snoop Dogg had joined the Nation of Islam.

The famous rapper appeared at the organization’s annual event Saviours’ Day alongside minister Louis Farrakhan. It’s unclear when the California native became Muslim, but he definitely practiced Islam for a while.

In 2012, the rapper converted to the Rastafarian movement with little less fireworks, but claimed the move made him feel like he was born again. He even went as far as to change his stage name to Snoop Lion, stating “I have always said I was Bob Marley reincarnated”.
