14. The Marvel Movies are a Pain for the Cast

With Marvel’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” making more money at the box office than most developed countries have in their entire GDP, it seems certain if a magic formula for success exists, Marvel’s found it.

Starting with “Iron Man” back in 2008, Marvel’s trotted out hit after hit after hit, turning relatively obscure comic heroes like Thor and Hawkeye into major international box office draws.

The stars are witty and handsome and the movies do well with critics for the most part. What’s not to love about this massive new franchise?

Sadly, the cast members of these films are often less than enthused. They make enough money to plate their Ferraris in gold, make no mistake, but the actual filmmaking process is often less than rewarding.
