The music mogul Kanye West is well-known for his tendency to make outrageous and ridiculously smug comments every time he speaks in public, and this idiosyncracy of his certainly makes him one of the most interesting characters on the celebrity scene today.

He has recently talked for “GQ” magazine and the interview only confirmed what we already knew – Kanye West is probably the greatest person who ever walked the Earth. (sarcasm implied)

In the interview he described his wife Kim Kardashian as “cooler than a fighter jet or a dinosaur”, and said he hates the idea that people might be thinking that anything he does is uncool “because there’s nothing I’m doing that’s uncool”.

Too bad Kanye wasn’t that popular back in 2006 when “South Park” released their famous episode called “Smug Alert”, in which they made fun of celebrities and other people who think highly of themselves.

Now, in case you’ve missed some of Kanye’s objective and humble statements about himself, here is ‘the best of’ compilation. Enjoy.

“I feel like I’m too busy writing history to read it.”

“I am standing up and I’m telling you. I. Am. Warhol. I am the number one most impactful artist of our generation, in the flesh. I am Shakespeare, Walt Disney. Nike. Google.” (Seriously?)

“I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade. I will be the loudest voice.” (We wouldn’t have problem with this if he actually knew how to sing.)

“I think what ‘Kanye West’ is going to mean is something similar to what Steve Jobs means. I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of internet, downtown, fashion, culture. Period.” (Steve, unfortunately, is no longer with us to hear this. Lucky bastard.)

“I think I do myself a disservice by comparing myself to Steve Jobs and Walt Disney and human beings that we’ve seen before. It should be more like Willy Wonka… and welcome to my chocolate factory.”

“No one is looking at what Barack Obama is wearing. Michelle Obama cannot Instagram a bikini pic like what my girl Instagrammed the other day.”

“You should only believe about 90 percent of what I say. As a matter of fact, don’t even believe anything that I’m saying at all. I could be completely messing with you, and the world, the entire time.” (Isn’t he a hoot?)

And for the end, let’s remember one of his greatest. He was supposed to comment on the difference between the way he approaches his fashion career and the way he approaches his music. Kanye simply replied: “Everything in the world is exactly the same.”

Man, that’s deep.
