Noteworthy Golden Globe Nominations

The Hollywood Foreign Press announced the Golden Globe nominations Thursday morning, with Birdman leading the pack with seven nominations, including Best Motion Picture, musical or comedy, Best Director, Alejandro G. Iñárritu, and Best Actor, Michael Keaton.

Boyhood and Imitation Game came in at close second with five nominations each, including Best Drama.

As for the most popular categories, Boyhood, Foxcatcher, The Imitation Game, Selma and The Theory of Everything all earned nominations for the Best Motion Picture, drama category.

As for the musical or comedy, the lucky nominees for Best Motion Picture were Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Into The Woods, Pride and St. Vincent.

One of the surprising winners was The Grand Budapest Hotel, earning nominations for Best Picture, comedy, Best Actor for Ralph Fiennes and Best Screenplay and Director for Wes Anderson. Another sweet surprise was the nomination of the British independent film Pride for Best Motion Picture.

The grand ceremony is on January 11 and we can’t wait to see who wins big!
