After it was revealed that Beck was the winner of the Album of the Year award, Kanye West took to the stage and pulled a stunt similar to that of the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Kanye returned to the Grammys after 6 years, and at first, everyone thought he was joking and trying to recreate his scene with Taylor Swift when he got up from his seat and interrupted Beck in accepting his award.

In 2009, when Taylor Swift beat out Beyonce, Kanye openly dissed her and caused a scene. He did the same thing again with Beck and, well, Beyonce.

However, on E’s Grammys post-show, the winner of 21 Grammy Awards in just over 10 years explained his reaction and said his move was no joke.

“I just know that the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain’t gonna play with them no more. And Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyonce,” West said.

“And at this point, we [are] tired of it, because what happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you’re disrespectful to inspiration,” Kanye added on his “fight for creativity”.
