The Price Tag singer has revealed recently that she will be swapping London for L.A. as her hometown as she thinks British capitol doesn’t appreciate her music enough and she feels she has more audience in the sunny L.A.

Nosy Brits

Jessie apparently thinks the people of London are more curious about her private life and about whom she dates than about her music.

“In America they see me as a singer whereas here I feel that people don’t appreciate my voice,” she said.

“I’ve dedicated my life to singing and I want it to be taken seriously. Here it seems that all people want to know is what I’ve had for breakfast and who I’m in a relationship with.”

Let’s just hope she won’t get the same treatment in her future city of residence.

Jessie’s life is an open book

The Voice UK judge admits she often reveals too much about herself, and she wishes she would sometimes simply keep the details about her private life only for herself.

“Sometimes I don’t know when to stop,” she said. “Sometimes I should just say nothing, but I can’t help myself and make some big statement when saying nothing would be much more appropriate.”

“People expect me to be really aggressive. And they’re surprised that I can be vulnerable or feel fragile. I’m probably the least aggressive person you could meet. I’m direct yes, honest yes, but I’m not going to punch you. I am actually… a really sweet girl,” says Jessie.

It appears that even in her speech about how she should talk less about herself, Jessie again reveals a lot. We wish her all the best with her new beginning in L.A.
