Cheryl Fernandez-Versini turned to social media in order to explain her behavior after the explosive argument she had Simon Cowell, her fellow judge on “The X Factor”.

Disagreement

The two respectful judges definitely didn’t hold back during Saturday night’s episode, when they took the participants and viewers of the show by surprise and took the level of their ‘disagreement’ to a completely new level.

Cheryl sarcastically shared a photo of herself and Simon Cowell sitting together at the judging panel. The photo depicted Simon seemingly choking Cheryl, grinning from ear-to-ear he wrapped his hands around Cheryl’s neck.

“Yes… Was one of those nights,” Cheryl wrote. “You can’t tell other judges acts they didn’t perform a song as well as they could or should have then when somebody remotely has an opinion on Simon’s act he responds with it’s not an acting competition. Don’t give it if you can’t take it! Right.”

What actually happened?

Earlier on in the episode, Cheryl was quite critical of Simon’s act, Jay James, for his take on Adele’s hit “Skyfall”.

“The production saved you tonight,” Cheryl was frank with the rising star. “If you’re going to sing a song by Adele, you need more suave and passion in your performance. I didn’t feel that at all. Sorry.”

Simon, was pretty swift with his reply, saying: “Just to remind you sweetie, this is a singing competition, not an acting competition.”

“Fine, but don’t you ever criticize any of my acts in the future. Now, talk to your act,” clearly infuriated, Cheryl responded.

The two continued to argue throughout the live show, even though the presenter tried to calm them down by his funny remark: “I don’t like it when mummy and daddy talk like that,” but all to no avail as the songstress ended up swapping seats with fellow mentor Louis Walsh in order to get away from Simon.

Ladies and Gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts for the upcoming episode. We might be in for a crazy ride.
