The actress had the privilege of working with this great actor and comedian, and Christine will definitely never forget working with Robin Williams and the time they spent together shooting their movie “The Birdcage”.

The embodiment of sweetness

“I will remember most our scene where we sang and danced. It’s still one of my favorite scenes on film that I’ve ever done,” The Good Wife star stated on the Emmys red carpet. “There was a sweetness to it and there was a sweetness to him as a human being.”

He was a beautiful, beautiful giant talent,” said Baranski who, besides working with him on the aforementioned movie, also studied with Robin at The Julliard School.

The brightest star

The deceased actor will certainly be remembered through his brilliant roles, but his long-time friend and fellow comedian, Billy Crystal, wanted to really make sure everyone truly knew what a great man he was.

“Every time you saw him on television, in movies, nightclubs, arenas, hospitals, homeless shelters for our troops overseas, and even in a dying girl’s living room, for her last wish – he made us laugh. Big time,” Billy said.

During his speech in In Memoriam segment Billy also emphasized how Robin was the biggest comedian of them all and he will continue to make us laugh long after he’s gone.

“I spent many happy hours with Robin onstage. The brilliance was astounding, the relentless energy was kind of thrilling. I used to think if I could just put a saddle on him and stay on for eight seconds I’d be all right,” joked the 66-year-old comedian.

“For almost 40 years he was the brightest star in the comedy galaxy, but while some of the brightest of celestial bodies are actually extinct, their molten energy long since cooled, miraculously, because they float in the heavens so far away from us now, their beautiful light will shine on us forever.”
